Congratulations to the UHS Boys Varsity Soccer Program on their NCS Division lll Finals win!

This has been a seven-year buildup for Coach Huff’s soccer program. He told us that the soccer program has been building its reputation and momentum year by year and has now reached its highest peak.

Huff explains how “It’s exciting, ecstatic, fun.” But, as any classic coach would say, the players can’t forget all the hard work that led them here. Their Friday night win “says a lot about the work these boys put in” Coach Huff said. He added, “This program used to be just some friends playing ball but now they are a threat.”

Friday was a testament to their dedication, and Coach Huff highlighted how “seeing the smiles on their faces was one of those moments that a coach never forgets.”

Sophomore Rios Munoz expresses how he is “feeling excited.” Fellow teammate and sophomore Josue Garcia is also excited, he explains how “obviously we won but I don’t feel like we’re done–we still want more, we’re gonna do more.”

With over 1,000 in attendance, the crowd was loud. One local man, Danny Williams who lives just a block from the school spoke to the depth of the Wildcat’s roar, “It was like an army was ready to battle, I have never heard a sports crowd that loud.”
