Annually, Ukiah High leadership is known for their Christmas toy drive. This year, they decided to help the Christmas Effort by creating a friendly competition. This competition supported the Ukiah Valley Christmas Effort; a non-profit organization striving to provide families in need with gifts for children and food to cook Christmas dinner.

The fundraising occurred within period two where jars were placed in each classroom. Whichever classroom with the most funds by the end of the week would get the pleasure of watching their teacher kiss a goat. on December 15th in the tri at lunch.

Thanks to the goat of the hour, provided by Ukiah High’s own Future Farmers of America. Ukiah High was able to raise $500 for the Christmas Effort. The top three competitors in this competition were History teacher Jeff Bergmann, English Teacher and Cheerleading Coach Jamie Planka, and History teacher Elizabeth Johnson.
Yesterday, Friday, December 16, 2022, the competition came to an end and Wildcats watched as three of their teachers puckered up and kissed the goat.
