12th grader Isaiah Storm is known by many for his skating abilities. Storm is renowned for his ability to kickflip off tall platforms and land cleanly.  UHS News spoke with Storm about his favorite skate brands, tricks, as well as his accomplishments.

Storm’s favorite clothing brands to skate in included Dickies, Independent, and Thrasher because he likes the baggy look they give.

His favorite shoes to skateboard in are Vans, Converse, and Lakai. Storm likes to skate in these brands because he says they make some of the most supportive footwear he has worn while skating.

Regarding skateboard decks, Storm is partial to Baker Skateboards because he likes the shape they have and their resilience not breaking as often as other brands.

Storm’s favorite trick to do is a kickflip saying the trick is “easy to learn, and you can do it in so many different situations.¨

Storm’s greatest achievement in skateboarding was either kick flipping the 6-stair in front of the Ukiah High School, or when he ollied down the Pomolita 9-stair.

Storm’s favorite skateboarder is Kyle Walker. He likes Walker over other skaters because he was in the first skate video he ever saw. Storm said that Walker lit a spark inside of him and was one of his biggest influences and inspirations that made him hop on a board and start shredding.
