The Ukiah High School Volleyball team took on El Molino for the second time this week on Friday, April 17th. Although the Varsity fought hard they could not pull out the win against El Molino for the second time. The third match was close; they lost the first three matches which ended the game. Ukiah High School’s Freshman team and the Junior Varsity won both matches.
UHS News noted Varsity player Athena Dahl. There were several occasion throughout the varsity matches where Dahl aced it, meaning served and either no opposing player touched the ball or were unsuccessful in returning it.
Freshman Carlie Miles, a member of the UHS Junior Varsity volleyball teams told us Coach Molly Thomas asked players to think of some things that they wanted to improve on in this second game against El Molino. Miles said she overheard players saying, “they wanted to improve their communication and their hits. Miles hoped, “improve on blocking and getting my sets to the positions, not the players. I think I improved along with many other players on the team.”
Tonight Ukiah High Volleyball face Cardinal Newman in an away game in Santa Rosa.
