Growing up in a small town, you learn about its businesses and activities fast. One of Ukiah’s staples is our local movie theatre. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the state closures, the movie theatre closed until further notice. In the meantime, stay home and use these tips to treat yourself to an at-home theatre experience.

  • Candy
    • Make sure you stop at your local convenience store and grab your favorite candy bars or packs. Sour Patch Kids are a local favorite.
  • Popcorn
    • A must for any movie night. Cook up some popcorn and load it with lots of butter and whatever else you want, you’re at home!
  • Atmosphere
    • Crank your AC up and turn the lights off to get that theatre atmosphere.
  • Movie
    • One of the benefits of an at-home movie night is that you can choose your movie regardless of what’s playing, or what’s new. Watch a childhood classic or a new thriller, it’s up to you.

In times like this, we need to learn how to treat ourselves and make the best of what you got. This weekend, treat yourself to an at-home movie!
